VIRTUAL EVENT

The New Rules of Learning

in the Age of AI

2 September 2026 | 10:00 AM AEST | 12:00 PM NZT

As AI reshapes roles, organisations are asking people to learn, adapt, and lead through change faster.

But delivering more content does not necessarily help people retain new ideas, apply them in their work, or build new behaviours.

For People, Learning, and Capability leaders, the bigger question is whether learning is building the capability the business actually needs,

it is 'sticking' and providing ROI?

On 2 September, hosted by XVenture COO, Daniela Kraus, we’re bringing together behavioural scientist Dr Mike Conway, Global People and Culture excecutive Rebecca Barry, and ecostore COO Tony Acland to explore what helps learning translate into meaningful change.

WHY ATTEND?

Learning is changing.

Are your development strategies keeping up?

As AI accelerates change across every industry, organisations need learning that builds real capability, not simply delivers more content.

Meet the Speakers

Rebecca Barry

She most recently served as Group Director, People and Culture (APAC and MENA) at Legends Global (formerly ASM Global), leading human resources strategy across the region. Speaker

Tony Acland

Tony Acland is Group Chief Operating Officer at ecostore, the New Zealand sustainable cleaning and personal care company, where he leads operations and manufacturing across ecostore, Chantal Organics and Eagle's Nest. He has driven a data-led, continuous-improvement culture that puts AI to work on the factory floor and across the wider business: automating processes, sharpening decision-making, and building the capability of his people to adapt as the way they work keeps changing. For Tony, technology is only as good as the behaviour change it creates. His focus is on whether new tools and new thinking actually translate into performance on the ground, and deliver real return. He brings two decades of operational leadership, having previously run luxury lodges, resorts and cruise operations across New Zealand and Fiji before moving into FMCG.

Speaker

Dr Mike Conway

Dr Mike Conway is a behavioural scientist, strategist and the Founder and CEO of XVenture, and the architect of its learning ecosystem: a connected platform that builds human capability from the inside out, combining expert-authored experiential content, scientifically validated assessments and 24/7 AI coaching, and scaling from the individual through to the whole organisation. His work draws on behavioural science, neuroscience and organisational psychology, applied over more than two decades across business, healthcare, education and elite sport. Mike has designed learning that works as powerfully in the real realm as it does in the virtual realm, helping people retain ideas and build lasting behaviours rather than simply consume content, an approach built for exactly the shift AI is now forcing on how we learn and work. He has advised at executive level with organisations including Deloitte, EY and Standards Australia, and has served as an emotional agility and mind coach for elite teams, including Australia's national football team, the Socceroos, and Sydney FC's championship side. His qualifications include an MBA and clinical training in psychotherapy, alongside memberships of bodies such as the NeuroLeadership Institute and the Institute of Positive Psychology.
